Writing – 4 Days of School

For Writing this week, my class and I have been focusing on making an Argument, the class got split up into big 2 groups, the groups were called For and Against, I was in the Against Group, both groups were told to collect all our ideas to say during the argument, we got help from our teacher Tanya, everyone in our group had a speech to do in the argument so everyone is included in the Against Group, we all got our ideas together and went out side to practice, we all sat in a circle and said our parts we were going to say in the argument.

 

We practised and practised until we all had enough, we then went inside and re-practised and went over what we did outside, our teacher said were practising this week and getting all our thoughts ready for next week, because next week is when we are doing the argument, in our argument we have to have reasons, and evidence, half of my group did reasons, and the other half did evidence, and yeah, that’s all we did, the challenges I faced while doing this was trying to get my group under control, but I enjoyed writing and learning how to do an argument with reasons and evidence, overall that’s all and I’ll show you guys my writing, if you have any questions or suggestions, tell me when you comment, Here are my slides. ⬇

School should be a 4 days week

  • Less days means less learning time.
  • Teachers will get less pay.
  • If we are coming to school 4 day a week we meant not  even achieve anything in the  future. 
  • Sleep and waking up late will make us more lazy and tired. 

 

 

Smart Money

WALT : Be careful while online shopping

this week we are doing the  smart Money on the DLO .

 

Today for Cyber-smart, we learned about being careful while online shopping, and how to be aware of scammers, and how to avoid them, my teacher started off grouping us, and we had a slide each to work on, my partner and I had to watch a video, and write down some tips we learned from the video, the video talked about the scammers that could scam you and how to avoid them, it told us some tips and many interesting things we need to do before purchasing an item online.

 

After writing some tips we’ve learnt from the video, my partner and I then got another slide we had to work on, and then we had to read some tips on this website and continue writing facts about the online shopping, we wrote the issues of online shopping, and tips, I chose to do the issues, and my partner did the tips, we got all the information from the website we got handed, and wrote many facts, if you go online shopping, make sure to re-search about the website their selling from.

To achieve this I need to know how to buy and sell online and understand my rights as an online consumer

Are we watching  the video  and then we need to write it in the text box and write the mean points   the How to buy online tips and tricks and and we are write the points let me  show you the  mean point :

  1. If something goes  wrong you can refund.
  2. Make sure it’s refundable.
  3. Make sure to check different sites before purchase
  4. Double check all the information of the item your purchasing is there

Today for reading, we started reading about worms, and learned interesting facts about them, one thing I’ve learnt from doing this reading response, is a word called invertebrates, invertebrates are called animals with no back bones, such as butterflies, caterpillars, worms, moths, and many other insects, it was fun learning about worms, I got to learn how many certain foods they can eat, and foods they couldn’t eat, some foods they couldn’t eat are meat, bones, plants. and oranges.

We started this reading response at the beginning of this week, every single week we get a new reading response to do, and we study about the book that we get given, so far learning about worms are my favourite, because I got to learn many facts about them, maybe sometime you should start learning about worms.

Structure of an argument

This week we are doing who the better men are better  then women  or women  are better then men  and why so that about a blog post  and DLO  we need to write  the 5 or 4  we are doing the 4 and boy do 4 too

and the women fact are here

  • women are biologically stronger than men
  • women are, on average, more focused on other-concern, they are more likely than men women are, on average, more focused on other-concern, they are more likely than men

  • 90% of cops, military pilots, military personal. Builders, pilots. Engineers, and Navy are men.
  • Men did all if not most of the hunting and hard labor in the old days.
  • Men are better at entertaining people. Like how men play sports. 
  • Men are better for doing all the hard work. 

so the Conclusion is the Everyone is support something different in the argument. Well boys think that they are better when girl  think that they are better. Well boys are more active and hard working when girls are more intelligent hard working and really emotional. Both gender are great in there own way and hard working

Men are generally better at sports and mainly active sports women are better at making things organized and tidy while men are messy but more active

While women are good about working alone and are able to think independently. they get distracted while men are able to work in  groups But men cant work independently as women do. That’s why brave men go to war. i would say over half of the military is made of men and even in the 90s men have been forced to go to war in america and america had about 248.7 million people in the 1990s and that is about 4% of the world population

The Three billy goat gruff

we are learning how to write from another point of view.

what I already know about BGG:

  • there are three goats.
  •  they have to get across a bridge.
  • there’s a little goat a big goat and a bigger goat.
  • there’s a big troll that guards the bridge.

3 Billy Goat  Gruff 

The Three Billy Goats Gruff Once upon a time there were three billy goats, who were to go up to
the hillside to make themselves fat, and the name of all three was “Gruff.” On the way up was a
bridge over a cascading stream they had to cross; and under the bridge lived a great ugly troll ,
with eyes as big as saucers, and a nose as long as a poker. So first of all came the youngest
Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge. “Trip, trap, trip, trap! ” went to the bridge. “Who’s that
tripping over my bridge?” roared the troll . “Oh, it is only I, the tiniest Billy Goat Gruff , and I’m
going up to the hillside to make myself fat,” said the billy goat, with such a small voice. “Now, I’m
coming to gobble you up,” said the billy goat, with such a small voice. “Now, I’m coming to
gobble you up,” said the troll. “Oh, no! pray don’t take me. I’m too little, that I am,” said the billy
goat. “Wait a bit till the second Billy Goat Gruff comes. He’s much bigger.” “Well, be off with
you,” said the troll. A little while after came the second Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge. Trip,

your eyeballs out at your ears; I’ve got besides two curling-stones, And I’ll crush you to bits,
body and bones.That was what the big billy goat said. And then he flew at the troll, and poked
his eyes out with his horns, and crushed him to bits, body and bones, and tossed him out into
the cascade, and after that he went up to the hillside. There the billy goats got so fat they were
scarcely able to walk home again. And if the fat hasn’t fallen off them, why, they’re still fat; and
so, Snip, snap, snout.

 

Tashifa’s little red riding wolf

this week Our teacher is Reading little Red Riding Wolf, This is an alternative to Little Red Riding Hood. 

Here is a little of what I know about the story of the Little Red Riding Hood :

  • She starts off delivering a slice of cake and a bottle of wine to her grandma
  • She bumps into the wolf and the wolf asks where shes headed to
  • She tells the wolf where the grandma lived and what she had for her food
  • she enters grandmas house and saw grandma
  • but it wasn’t grandma, the wolf tricked her into being grandma
  • She called out the weird things the wolf had as being grandma
  • She figures out that the wolf was tricking her
  • And the wolf ate her

Our task was to make up a ending for the Little Red Riding Wolf, we had a choice whether to write it with our own imagination or to use ideas from different stories, I chose to use ideas from different stories, my ending included the big bad girl, The Little Red Riding Wolf, the granny, and the wood cutter, there is a 45% chance you have seen that version because its been a while since that video uploaded on youtube, but maybe you should watch it. But yeah, that is what we had to do, and maybe you could write a ending about the Little Red Riding Wolf, or another story, overall here is my ending ⬇

Rewriting the End

We are preparing for the end of the year and the teacher read us part of a story.

First, we discussed the 3 Little Pigs story and what we knew about the original story.

  • the 3 little pigs who were told to leave, and they are siblings
  • there is a big bad wolf who destroys property
  • houses were made of wood or sticks, straw or thatched, and brick
  • the pigs prosper
  • the wolf perishes

Do you know the TRUE Story of The 3 Little Pigs? Well, we listened to part of the story from A. Wolf’s point of view and then we had to complete the story.

STEAM lunch

This week we walked into class to walk back out as to the hall right behind Room 11. There was with bag all over the floor and when peta started the talk us about engineering and our facus for this team. and then we go and pike and in the paket have these things

and we use that things and make the perashot.

  • 2 x A2 paper
  • 2 metres of string
  • scissors
  • packaging (2 types, foam and polyester)
  • plastic bag
  • tape

and we don’t use things thats it.

  • Straws
  • car board.

and we have an egg and we make the perashot  and  egg in the perashot  and we save that and we go up stears and drop the perashot  and then the teacher open it and see wich one is broken we have the time and we do in the time  the plastic bag it a perashot ballon and the news  paper we use every  thing but i don’t use the Straws and car board. Everybody makes that.

this week we are doing a bike safety that is the most important for everyone you like ride the bike so be care ful and don’t stop on track and check the some thing elas like brake and weel’s   and very thing for your safety and you safe you mom and dad it a happy right rules on ride. like stop no the grass not on the track. check the bike brakes and weel’s and sit’s. and don’t ride on the opposite the trak. make sure your halmet shellder properly don’t leave your hand if you on the track because you leave hand you drop and the other people drop too.

24 Tashifa report wiriting about swimming pool

This week I am doing a swimming wiriting report and. Last week Edmund Hillary School want a going to the swimming pool and that was fun and enjoyed  and Iam learn a floting and swimming in the water and very thing. It’s very fun and we are going in 20 km of deep water and Iam very secred. and  full school is very enjoyable. I hope it was fun.very was intrasting. I like swimming. I like to jump in 20 km of deep water. you like swimming.  I like swimming so much. It was fun and instakter it’s a vert reaspect ful.  fisrt time I’am secyered and the second time. I’am sed it was so fun. I’am very happy. On the last day I was very injoyed because  we were going  to the big waveis and it was very fun the water is gone in the nose,eyes and mouth. this is we are doing in swimming class.
