3d printing

KIA  ORA!

Yesterday we did 3D printing, and first Zoe told us how to do it, and then she said, Go to the tables and start making the design, and we downloaded it from an app called https://www.vaka.co.nz/taong. You can do this too from this app if you want, but you need a 3D printer for that. I made it for my friends because I can’t give it to my family; they aren’t going to wear it, so that’s why I’m giving it to Charlotte so she can wear it. The pattern was poutama, and the symbol is mere. I feel really good when I make it, and that was fun to do. I want to make more than one, but we can only make one.

Atoms and Molecules

KIA ORA

This term we are doing Atoms and molecules   and we make a report about the Atoms and molecules first we did planning and then we did report about  it and it was fun to do it we did three question and Introduction and Conclusionand then we pest it on canva  work

here is my work

Atoms and Molecules

By Tashifa Suhail

Introduction

Today in this report I will be talking about what a atom is, what a molecule is and why are atoms and molecules important

What is an Atom?

An atom is the smallest unit of matter. It is so tiny that you cannot see it with your eyes, even with most microscopes.Atoms have 118 types of Atoms. And Atoms have different part of elements.

  • Protons (positive charge)
  • Neutrons (no charge)
  • Electrons (negative charge)

Protons and neutrons are found in the middle of the atom, called the nucleus. Electrons move around the outside of the nucleus in areas called shells.

An atom is a small particle that is so tiny you cant even see it with a microscope, it is the basic building block of our world, they make up everything including us today

What is a Molecule?

A molecule is made when two or more atoms join together. These atoms can be the same or different. For example:

These atoms can be of the same element, like in the oxygen molecule (O2), or of different elements, like in water (H2O).

When atoms of different elements combine, the resulting molecule is also called a compound. Molecules are made up of different atoms that join together, they also help with the building blocks of our world.

Why does studying  atoms matter?

Studying atoms matters because atoms are the basic building blocks of all matter—everything you see, touch, and interact with is made up of atoms. Understanding them helps us:

  1. Understand the universe – From stars to your body, everything is made of atoms, so studying them helps us understand how matter behaves on both microscopic and cosmic scales.
  2. Improve medicine – Techniques like MRI and radiation therapy rely on our understanding of atomic structure and behavior.

In short, atomic study connects to science, technology, health, and our understanding of the natural world. Would you like a real-world example of how atomic knowledge is used today?

Conclusion

Atoms and molecules may be tiny, but they have a huge role in our world. Atoms are the basic units of matter, and when they join together, they form molecules. Atoms are the basic building blocks of matter, consisting of protons, neutrons, and electrons. When atoms bond together, they form molecules, which are the smallest units of compounds that retain the chemical properties of the substance. Understanding atoms and molecules is fundamental to studying chemistry, as they explain the structure, behavior, and interactions of all substances in the universe.

Thank you

Tashifa’s Recount Plan

KIA ORA

Have you ever done a school project that helped you learn about your culture, your life, and what makes you special?
In Week 10, Term 1, at Edmund Hillary School, Room 10, we began something truly special — our Who Am I? projects.

This wasn’t just any regular schoolwork. It was a journey of discovering who we are. First, we looked at our teachers’ amazing identity projects. They were full of photos, family stories, and memories. That’s when I thought, “Wow! I want mine to be awesome too!”

After getting inspired, we started planning. We thought about what makes us us. We looked up the meaning of our names, wrote about our perfect day, and even created a pepeha to show where we come from. We also collected photos of ourselves — from when we were babies, now, and fun moments in between!

We gave all our photos to Zoe so she could print them. While we waited, we painted our cardboard. Some of us used bright colours, others added sparkles or patterns — every project was different and special in its own way.

Finally, it was time to put it all together. We glued our writing, photos, pepeha, and decorations on our boards. And just like that… our identity projects were ready!

How did I feel?
Honestly, I felt amazing. It was fun, exciting, and I loved learning about myself and my classmates. This project helped me think about my family, my culture, and the special moments in my life.

I’m proud of what I made, and I’m proud of who I am.
Who am I? Now I know — and I’m happy to share it with the world.

This is my recount about that what I  write on my recount

who Am I project
